Sitges, 30 minutes drive south of Barcelona is the seaside resort of the wine region Penedès. Sitges is full of hotels, bars and restaurant. It's long stretch of beach makes a perfect site to walk, run or just chill on a bench looking at the blue Mediterranean Sea. There is also a golf course in Sitges. Every Sunday there is big market down by the church where local artisans fill the town’s central streets with their market stands.

Vilafranca de Penedes, 40 minutes drive south of Barcelona is the capital of the wine region Penedès. Among the many wineries in Vilafranca, you'll find Torres, which over the last 30 years has put Penedès on the world map with it’s great wines and grand expansion. Vilafranca is full of life, shops, restaurant, bars and nightclubs.
Restaurants in Vilafranca are diverse and delicious. The family owned Cal Ton one of the best choices if you like to try to the local cuisine. Another great option is La Fabrica who with their creative mix has won the heart of the locals over the last years. At the other end of town, Cava Mas Tinell’s incredible hotel and restaurant En Rima offers great food and wine next to it’s bodega and surrounded by vineyards.
Vilafranca has a big center full with shops, market, restaurants, museums and culture. Every Saturday the regions largest market is hold here when local farmers and artisans and fill all the town’s central streets with their market stands. The Vinseum, the museum of wine and culture it’s located the the center of the town and it’s open from Tuesday to Sunday all year around.
Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Spain

Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, 35 minutes drive south of Barcelona is the cradle and the capital of Cava, In Sant Sadurní d’Anoia everywhere you look there are Cavas (wineries for sparkling wines made with the traditional method, the same method used as to produce Champagne although the region is not allowed to call it Champagne as it is only for the Champagne region in France. The largest Cava producers are Freixenet and Codorniu. The village does not have as much life as Vilafranca but there are some shops, great bakeries, bars, restaurants and of course many places where you can enjoy a great glass of Cava!
In Sant Sadurní d’Anoia we find three of the best restaurant’s in Penedès: Centre, which is located in a beautiful building which is an old cinema. The restaurant serves great set menus for good prices and has a very large wine menu where you can try most of the wines from the region. On the other side of the town we find La Cava d'En Sergi, where the chef Sergi Torres offers great creative food for affordable prices. And set on on the hills surrounding the village we find Mirador de Les Caves which has an incredible view over most of Penedès and the Montserrat Mountain. Another highlight is the chocolate factory Simon Coll where you can savour great chocolate and even enjoy a visit to learn the history of chocolate and see the production of this wonderful product.
The center of the village is small but with many small bars, cafés, Cavas and shops. Every Saturday a market where local farmers and artisans fill the town’s central streets with their market stands.

From 1850, five generations of winemakers have ruled Gramona, dedicating themselves to the tradition of wines and cava in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the heart of the Land of Cava. Nowadays, it is the fifth generation of the family Gramona-Batlle, with Jaume Gramona and Xavier Gramona leading a group of farmers, biologists, Agronomists, winemakers, sommelier y workers, that are in charge to consolidate their legacy: the respect and passion for our land and wines.
In this last century, Gramona has been developing and perfecting the art of transforming Wines cavas, always maintaining the processes more artesenal: like the use of natural cork during the time-crianza, or using "pupitres" (desks) for the removal of yeasts. Elegance, fullness, freshness, balance, complexity and character are the essence of the wines.
